Thanksgiving/Christmas and Inbetween!

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! SOO many exciting things have happened since the last blog. Fall was a wonderful time of the year! I (Camille) turned 22, still a baby people at work would say! :-) Then a couple of weeks later, we celebrated Daniel's 23rd birthday <3 Then began the Thanksgiving season! I truly believe this was my favorite Thanksgiving of my life! I cannot describe it in words, but just being outdoors and enjoying the world around me with the one I love more than anyone or anyone could! Daniel shot a 6 pointer over Thanksgiving and that was rather adventurous trying to keep ice on the deer and getting him "cleaned." Then I did something I have never done before.....we went shopping at 10:00 on Thanksgiving day! I had money left over from my birthday so I became the owner of a Wii that night! ADDICTED...I must say :-) Then we had Christmas parties galore since Thanksgiving, we even had the teenagers over to our home! December 11 we celebrated our one year anniversary! <3 It truly has been the happiest year of my life! I gave him a birthday/anniversary gift combo. But he went all out for our anniversary....diamond earrings that matched a necklace he gave me for Christmas a few years ago <3 He spoils me sometimes! lol We really will be celebrating our anniversary after Christmas when we go on our road trip! We have been counting down the days for three months!!!! I cannot wait to celebrate our second Christmas together this weekend! School ends tomorrow and I will be missing their bright and smiling (most of the time) faces! They have made me laugh so much this year and are such an encouragement to me. Church is going well, but have stayed some kind of busy! Our juniors/teenagers did a wonderful job on their Christmas program...so proud! Thankful to be able to help Daniel with the young people at a good church! Until next time.....Merry Christmas and cannot wait to update on our trip!

Fall Life.....hunting?

I absolutely LOVE fall! Many things happen in fall...volleyball season with my girls, fall festivals, fair, my birthday, Daniel's birthday, my dad's birthday, Thanksgiving and technically our anniversary is in the fall :-) In addition to all of those, October 19, 2009, Daniel and I went on our "first" date together and we began our dating life..... Today, is October 19, 2011 and how life has changed in those two years! I would not trade it for the world though! We went to the fair with my family and then he asked me to be his girlfriend later that night. This fall has been rather busy, like normal! lol We have just completed another "first" on our list together.....hunting!!! And I must say.....I enjoyed it :-) Daniel also killed a deer so I am sure he enjoyed it also! It was a rather comical experience. I tripped over a log walking in the woods and began laughing really loud, then I got "the look" from Daniel, the one that says "SHUT-UP!" LOL Then after being in the stand MAYBE two minutes, I told him I was bored and this was dumb. Then I told him I had to cough and he said I could NOT cough, well I could just not help it so I started coughing and he just looked at me like....Seriously??? lol It was fun and I did not scare the deer off! After he shot the deer, I helped him clean the deer a little. I did touch the foot and held the leg so he could clean it! It was really fun and I am looking forward to going back! :-) Cannot wait to see what the rest of fall has in store for our lives!

Busy life with my best friend

Life has been extremely busy lately!!!!! However, the sad part is....it will not slow down until November (maybe). Daniel and I have had the privilege of going to two Duke football games the last two weekends! I LOVE going to Duke!! It is something we both enjoy and our favorite thing is spending time together! I have been rather busy between school and coaching. Daniel has been working overtime all but one night this week, so he is exhausted!!! We just hit our nine month anniversary!! It just amazes me how we just go together so well. Last week I told him I did not think anyone could go together so well. We are always laughing and thinking of some crazy thought. (he would kill me if I shared them) :-)  I came home from a lady's conference and he had made dinner and did the laundry for me! Life may be busy.....but every second is worth it when at the end of the day you have your best friend and the love of your life by your side.
I would like to ask prayer for a co-worker of mine last year, Dr. Rice. He was the elementary principle and in June was diagnosed with leukemia. He spoke in chapel on Friday, and was a HUGE blessing. It was a wonderful time. He really brought out the reality of life! I am NOT an emotional person, but the tears did flow. Please pray for Dr. Rice and his family as they are going through a hard time. We know God's way IS best and he makes NO mistakes!

End of Summer and a Fresh Start

It seems as if I have not blogged in forever! Things have actually been rather hectic and I have not had a chance to sit down and type. I really do not remember the last time we had a Saturday "free." We have been busy with church, we took a trip to the aquarium and had a teen lock-in. We also had a huge back to school Sunday and Daniel preached! (He did an amazing job if you ask me!!) We have finally "settled" into our new place! I absolutely LOVE it!!!! It feels so much like a home and I think it reflects Daniel and I! We have enjoyed a few nights out of town this summer just enjoying being together! My favorite was when he surprised me with a trip to the beach! Daniel took me to Ribeye's (one of my favorites) and then to the General Store for icecream. We walked on the boardwalk and then stayed in Morehead City. The next day, we went para-sailing, which is something I have always wanted to do! Then after a trip for pizza we headed to the beach for the rest of the day! It was such an amazing and sweet trip! Another trip this summer was to Jacksonville! I went to see Caroline (my bestestest friend) and Katie. We had a wonderful night/morning together. We had dinner, shopped and stayed up till 3am then got up at 8am! We talked and talked! There is nothing I would give to have such great friends and a sister like them! Caroline also put highlights in my hair!! Something new that I am beginning to like!!

The Beginning

I have been thinking about starting a blog for a few weeks. However, I did not know what to call it. I finally decided on the name "Cason Notes." This blog will be about our lives together and the different circumstances we face. I (Camille) really like to talk a lot (imagine that) and would love to share the different trials and events that occur. Since being married I have discovered so many things about myself. I am not a person who likes to be alone or do things by myself. However, since Daniel use to work nights, I have discovered that I can really do things if I set my mind to do something. In May, I completed my first year of teaching and it was such an experience! I realized I could do things I never thought were possible. Until December, I was also never away from my family besides a week at the time and I still had my sister with me. This has been another adjustment to "cope" with. At first, it was the most difficult thing ever!! However, as time has passed I seem to be doing better. I love my phone conversations with my family! Life is such an adventure and being with Daniel has taught me that (in a good way of course)! I love him with my whole heart and cannot wait to see what our journey together unfolds!
